So, where do I start?

Hello, welcome to It Came From the Labyrinth (ICFTL). This is a fan-translation of the Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? Web Novel based on Turb0's unique translations.

If you have previously read the Manga, Light Novel or the soon to be released Anime. Please follow this guide on how to get started.

New Readers

We recommend you read the Light Novel up to Volume 3. While there are differences, we feel the LN has a more polished and complete story compared to the Web Novels. After Volume 3 follow the LN Readers guide.

Anime Viewers

 I'm so sorry...

Manga Readers

We recommend you read the Light Novels from the very start to the end of Volume 3. (The Manga cuts out over 50% of the story and there's no real way around it. You could only read the other 50%, but that cuts out context. Honestly you just have to start over)

Light Novel Readers

Okay, you have two options.

1. You go back and re-read from Chapter 145 of the WN (The equivalent of Volume 3's end) Because after that point the major changes in the story structure make it hard to recommend an equivalent WN chapter.

2. Or you can try to find a chapter matching where you left off in the LN (this won't be easy, many things don't line up)

What're the exact differences between the LN and the WN?

In a perfect world, you could just read both. But if you must pick without any spoilers, the main differences are,
  • The WN is much further into the story right now. (The author has said the WN and LN are likely to have different endings)
  • The LN has new characters, none of which really impact the main plot in any major way. (Although they might make a larger impact later)
  • Some scenes are more fleshed out in the LN with more information and dialogue added. (Always nice to have)
  • The LN has pushed back some plot reveals until later into the story. (This improves the pacing a bit)

Okay, so where do I actually start reading?

We recommend you support the official release of the Light Novels at Yen Press.

However...

If you're financially impaired, then you might get lucky and find a truck filled to the brim with books just waiting to fall off the back.
